The surviving Yellowjackets will have one more season to make it home.

The Paramount+ thriller, produced by Lionsgate TV, will end with its upcoming fourth season, series creators Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson said in a statement Friday evening (which they also posted on social media). A writers room for the now-final season is open, with production set to start in 2026. A premiere date hasn’t been set.

“After three incredible seasons, and great consideration, we’re excited to announce that we will be bringing the story of Yellowjackets to its twisted conclusion in this fourth and final season,” Lyle and Nickerson’s statement reads. “We’ve always known there would come a point when the story would tell us it wants to end, and it’s our belief that our job — our responsibility — is to listen. Telling this emotional, wild, and deeply human story has been a profoundly meaningful experience and a true honor for us, and we’re so very grateful to the brilliant cast, crew and writers who have bravely gone on the journey with us to bring it to life. Most of all, we want to thank the fans who have stuck with us through every moment, mystery and meal — the Hive is nothing without you! We can’t wait to share the final chapter with you and hope you find it … delicious.”

Christina Ricci shares stories from her performances in ‘Now and Then,’ ‘The Ice Storm’ and ‘Yellowjackets’ in this conversation about her acting career, moderated by Tyler Coates. This interview is part of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations series, an essential resource for actors, featuring leading actors and casts sharing their experiences, insights and craft.

Christina Ricci is getting real about her “feral creature” days.

The Yellowjackets actress appeared on the latest episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live Wednesday, June 18, where she recalled her partying phase in her teens and early 20s.

“There was a period of six years, [from] 16 to 21, when I was a bit of a party animal,” said Ricci, now 45. “But then, you know, that’s not really bad — to be in your house binge-watching television by the time you’re 21, with dogs.”

She said that despite how she “went through a period of time when I was like a feral creature,” she “had a really wonderful publicist” at the time who “kept me pretty much out of a lot of tabloids.”

“I mean, I was in a lot, but kept me out of the bulk and the most damaging ones,” Ricci added.

The Casper star recounted to host Andy Cohen how her partying days started when she and her mother moved from Montclair, New Jersey, to New York City, where she started attending the Professional Children’s School.

At her previous institution, Montclair High School, “There were kids from other counties [who] were coming in [and from] other schools that didn’t know me, so then I was getting made fun of a little bit and singled out,” Ricci explained.

But once she and her mom moved to Manhattan in 1995, they “had a fabulous time living in Little Italy,” in the same building as supermodels Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford and Christie Brinkley.

The night they moved in the apartment stands out in Ricci’s mind, too, as that was when “somebody from Michael Stipe’s company, Sandy Stern, emailed me and was like, ‘We’re having this party if you want to come.’ ”

“And I put my Anna Sui baby tee on, my Carhartts and my Fluevogs and my backpack, and I walked to the Bowery Bar and they let me in,” said the Now and Then star, who was only 15 at the time.

After making her feature-film debut in 1990’s Mermaids opposite Cher and Winona Ryder, Ricci went on to become one of the most sought-after young actresses of the ’90s.

She also eventually became a mother of two: to 10-year-old son Freddie, whom she shares with ex James Heerdegen, and 3-year-old daughter Cleo, with husband Mark Hampton.

Ricci, who received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this past March, spoke to PEOPLE in April at a Yellowjackets season 3 event in Los Angeles about learning to love herself more.

“I think what I learned was that it doesn’t matter if I’m beautiful or not by anyone’s standards,” she said at the time. “I am myself. I view myself as a face and a brain. I don’t think about my body. I don’t think about what other people think of me.”
